Over 1,800 people in Counties Cavan and Monaghan into work

Over 1,800 people in Counties Cavan and Monaghan have been helped into full-time and part-time roles through the JobPath service which we deliver in partnership with Seetec on behalf of the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP). 1,421 people have been helped into full-time employment roles and 395 have been helped into part-time employment roles.

JobPath helps the long-term unemployed back into work. We support clients with career guidance, self-employment advice, CV support and interview and IT training.

Our Operations Manager, Adele McIvor commented “We are delighted to have supported over 1,800 people to move into employment in Cavan and Monaghan. Through JobPath we are making a difference to the lives of people in our communities while working in partnership with employers to fill vacancies in their business.”

Seetec is responsible for delivering JobPath in more than 50 locations in the northern part of the country including Dublin. They have helped over 25,000 people into employment in those areas and have partnered with approximately 10,000 employers to secure participants’ employment. Seetec began delivering JobPath in July 2015, and have helped more than 21,700 people into full-time positions and 3,400 into part-time roles and are on track to support a further 4,000 people into work by the end of 2019.

Seetec also offers bespoke recruitment and training services geared towards employers who are looking to expand their workforce, whether by one crucial team member or a large-scale recruitment drive.

Alison Bunney, Managing Director Ireland, Seetec said: “It is testament to the commitment of our teams that we have helped secure employment for 25,000 people across Ireland, not just in larger cities but also in our rural communities.

“Our centres have worked hard to become a valuable part of the communities in which they operate and in doing so have partnered with about 10,000 employers throughout Ireland.

“It’s very satisfying to be able to make a positive impact on our clients’ lives in helping them find employment and economic stability, and also to provide an important service to businesses in helping them prosper.”

According to the latest figures published by the Department of Employment Affairs & Social Protection, over 75% of clients said Seetec helped them improve their prospects of getting a job. Over 80% said they were satisfied with the service last year, and over 90% of clients said they felt that Seetec’s staff tried their best for them.
