450 Attendees at Mid Ulster Job Fair

The Mid Ulster Job Fair in Cookstown Leisure Centre on Wednesday 20th November proved a huge success with 450 visitors in attendance. In partnership with Mid Ulster District Council, Mid Ulster Skills Forum and Department for Communities (DfC) the event attracted over 65 employers and support organisations, with 88% of attendees stating that they were either very satisfied or satisfied with the Job Fair*. The Job Fair was one of the many events that took place as part of Mid Ulster Enterprise week, which is running from 18th – 22nd November.

Each of the employers were on hand to showcase current employment opportunities and career pathways to job seekers as well as those who were wanting advice on career progression. BSL and ISL signers were also available on the day. There was a great presence from local support organisations and agencies providing information and guidance on the services they offer in Mid Ulster.

Adele McIvor, Network Personnel added; “We are delighted with turnout today and the success of the event. The variety of job opportunities available in the Mid Ulster area is promising to see. It was great to showcase the wealth of support services also available to the local community.”

We would like to thank all the employers, support organisations and agencies who attended the Job Fair and everyone who came along to the event.
