1022 People Supported Through the Jobmatch Programme

The outstanding achievements of the ‘Jobmatch’ programme, which is delivered by Network Personnel, have been celebrated by staff and participants. The programme is part funded through the Northern Ireland European Social Fund Programme 2014-2020 and the Department for the Economy. Since April 2018, the Jobmatch programme has had 1022 registrations and 450 job outcomes, supporting people from Mid Ulster District, Mid and East Antrim, Antrim and Newtownabbey, Fermanagh and Omagh District and Causeway Coast and Glens council areas.

The aim of the Jobmatch programme is help people aged 18-65+ years, living in eligible areas, access education, training and employment opportunities. The fundamental goal is to get clients into paid employment resulting in a positive impact on their lives. The programme works to identify those removed from the labour market and support them into the world of work by improving participants’ skills and general employability. Participants’ avail of free training and personal development opportunities through the programme which includes accredited qualifications and building confidence and self-esteem.

We have continued to support existing and welcome new clients through the Covid-19 pandemic. We quickly introduced a new way of working which includes online training and remote, one-to-one support through phone, email and messages. This has been greatly appreciated by clients as they continue to access our support, and therefore opportunities, through these uncertain times.

One Jobmatch participant, Kathleen, commented on her experience “I would like to thank Jobmatch, and especially my career mentor, for the support and guidance in helping me gain employment. They provided me with valuable training, confidence and ongoing encouragement in my search for a new career. They provide an excellent and professional service for the local community and I couldn’t recommend them enough.”

Michelle McMullan, Network Personnel, said “The Jobmatch programme has made a huge impact to the lives of the participants they are assisting through employability support, accredited training and personal development. Here at Network Personnel we are extremely proud to have been able to support over 1000 participants in making a difference to their lives and the local communities we deliver in.”
