Successful Networking Event for Ballymena Support Organisations

Successful Networking Event for Ballymena Support Organisations

We recently held a very successful networking event in our Spring House office Ballymena for organisations who, like ourselves, offer support and guidance to unemployed people who are looking to develop their skills or find work.   16 local support organisations in total attended the event including Start 360, Triangle Housing Association, Disability Action, Prince’s Trust, Lighthouse Hostel and the Hope Centre.

Speaking at the event Michelle, our Jobmatch programme manager, advised “There are so many organisations in Ballymena who provide support for unemployed people.   We wanted to bring those organisations together and give them the opportunity to network and gain an understanding of what other organisations offer locally.  We hope going forward that we can work better together to ensure that the needs of local unemployed people are met.”

She continued “We ourselves have supported 80 unemployed people in the Ballymena area to date through our Jobmatch programme. 13 of those unemployed people have found work and 45 have completed accredited training courses such as first aid, basic food hygiene, CSR and ICT.”

If you would like to find out more about the free training and support to find work we offer give us a call on 028 7963 1032 or email info@networkpersonnel.org.uk.
