Positive Outcome Following Job Fair
Following the success of our Mid-Ulster Job Fair in The Burnavon Theatre, Cookstown in June we are pleased to share one of our success stories.
A range of local employers and support agencies attended the event, all of whom had vacancies and services to offer local people looking for work and employability support in Mid-Ulster. One young man who attended on the day was Nathan. Nathan had already successfully completed his forklift training and gained his licence through our Up For Work programme. He was very keen to find work and utilise his new skills.
Nathan was interested in a job in construction so he spoke with representatives from Quinn Building Supplies at our Job Fair. Quinn’s were looking for enthusiastic and hard working people to join their team as general operatives for their construction retail, timber mould design and manufacturing business based in Ardboe.
Nathan provided his details and completed an application form on the day. Quinn’s invited Nathan to an interview which was very successful and resulted in a job offer. Nathan has now started in his new full-time role with Quinn’s and is delighted to be putting his new skills to good use. Quinn’s are very pleased with his work to date and Nathan is proving to be a really valuable member of the team.
We wish Nathan continued success in his new job, congratulations!
