New qualifications for Michael through Jobmatch

New qualifications for Michael through Jobmatch

Michael, 61, had been unemployed for three years before joining our Jobmatch programme.  Previous to this Michael had worked as a Store Person in B&M Bargains.

Michael felt that having no qualifications and low motivation was affecting his ability to find employment. Michael worked closely with his Employment Coach to overcome these barriers to employment, focusing on taking part in training courses such as First Aid, Manual Handling, Retail Business and Essential Skills Maths & English. As a result Michael now has three level 1 qualifications from taking part in these vocational training courses and is still working on completing his Essential Skills Maths & English.

Michael has now complied an up-to-date CV with all his new qualifications and feels a lot more positive about finding employment.  Michael has expressed how much he benefited from these training and education classes and said “The support that I got on the Jobmatch programme was very helpful and  gave me the opportunity to gain new skills and qualifications that will help me find a new job”.
