Job Fair Success
Over 30 employers, support organisations and agencies recently attended our Job Fair in The Burnavon Theatre, Cookstown. The Job Fair provided an ideal opportunity for local people to speak with employers who are currently recruiting as well as find out about free training and support available in the Mid-Ulster area to help secure employment.
We offer support and guidance to unemployed people who are looking to develop their skills or find work. Our expert staff were available on the day providing information on how to create a first class CV, successfully fill out applications and best practice for interview skills as well as offering advice on self-employment options.
Cathy McGarvey advised “There is a wealth of job opportunities, support and free training available in the Mid-Ulster area. This Job Fair gave us the opportunity to bring everything under one roof to allow local people to access these opportunities. We are delighted by the response we have had to the event and hope that local people are now more aware of the opportunities available to them in Mid-Ulster.”
Louise Allen, Emerson Copeland, said “We are very pleased with the turn-out today and have spoken with many potential new employees of Emerson Copeland. The calibre of applicants is really good and we are hoping to fill our vacancies with applicants from today’s Fair.”
Other employers including FP McCann, McCloskey International, McDonald’s Cookstown, Tullylagan Hotel, Hutchinson Engineering, Moyola Precision Engineering and Genesis Crafty to name a few, were all present and promoting their current job vacancies.
There was also a great presence from local support organisations and agencies including NIACRO, Disability NI, USEL, Network Recruitment and Workspace Enterprises who provided information and guidance on the services they offer in Mid-Ulster.
We would like to thank all the employers, support organisations and agencies who attended our Job Fair and everyone who came along to the event. It was very promising to see so many job, support and training opportunities for unemployed people in Mid-Ulster.
