Highly Commended at the Social Enterprise Awards 2019

We are delighted to have received the Highly Commended Award at the Annual Social Enterprise NI Gala Awards in the Education, Training & Jobs category. The ceremony took place in The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast and was hosted by UTV’s Paul Clarke. A select few of our staff attended the event and were thrilled to accept the award.

To be recognised by Social Enterprise NI is extra special. The government defines social enterprises as “businesses with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners.” Giving back and supporting the local communities we work in is at the core of our objectives, therefore it is great to be awarded for our contribution in this area.

With over 80 entries this year, we are so pleased to have scooped up the award. It is testament once again to our amazing staff who go above and beyond to make a difference in the areas they work in.

A big thanks to Social Enterprise NI, and their sponsors, for a fantastic event. We are also thrilled to have been shortlisted for the UK Social Enterprise Awards 2019 in the category; Education, Training & Jobs Social Enterprise.

Furthermore, we are delighted to have been awarded a bursary from the British Council to attend the Social Enterprise World Forum in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
