Celebrating a Successful 2018/2019

Celebrating a Successful 2018/2019

We are delighted to be celebrating a successful 2018/2019. Over the past year we have supported 4,279 participants, 1,092 of whom moved into jobs, 842 qualifications were achieved and 116 clients moved into further education/training. These statistics are brilliant and is testament to the hard-working staff and the successful client base we work with.

We offer support across Northern Ireland as well as Carrickmacross, Cavan and Monaghan. Our Northern Ireland offices are located in Antrim, Ballymena, Carrickfergus, Cookstown, Coleraine, Draperstown, Larne, Magherafelt, and Omagh. We offer support, guidance and access to education, training and employment opportunities to those unemployed or working less than 16 hours per week and aged 16+.  Our support is individually tailored to our clients’ specific needs, which we feel is at the center of our success in building a positive client/staff relationship and in turn positive results. We have had really great feedback from our clients in the last year, some are highlighted below:

It is so encouraging to see the positive changes that are made in people’s lives when they register for our support. From gaining accredited qualifications, to completing soft skills as well as the positive social interaction aspect working with us provides – it is clear to see why our clients are successful. Below is an example of some of our clients’ achievements this year:

Gerardine, who completed a 4-week computer course in our Monaghan office.

Clients from our Omagh office who passed the IT User Skills course with flying colours. This course helped them to develop their confidence and skills in using the computer, including how to job search, send and receive emails and use various office packages.

Our Carrickfergus client William who, after completing his training, secured employment with Donard Recruitment.

Our self-employment client Sasha, who received training and advice to set up her new photography business Sasha Conlan Photography. Sasha worked with our team in Dungannon and completed a Social Media qualification, as well as accessing support with bookkeeping and Social Media marketing skills.

Our clients enjoyed completing our Skincare and Make Up Artistry course in our Magherafelt office. During their time on the course they received support with CVs, confidence building, interview skills, self-employment advice and a Make-up Masterclass by Hayley McLean.

Our Cookstown client, Paula, who secured full-time permanent employment with AES Global after completing qualifications in Customer Service, First Aid, Manual Handling and Personal Development with us as well as guidance with her CV and interview skills.

Clients from our Larne office enjoying our social film club.

Adele McIvor, Network Personnel, commented;

“We would like to congratulate all involved in our success this year. We are passionate about making a difference in the communities we work in. Offering tailored support to those unemployed or economically inactive and their families means we can have a positive impact on their life”.

We look forward to continuing our support in the coming year.
