Cancer Awareness talks at The Network Shed

We recently welcomed representatives from Action Cancer to our Network Shed to speak to our clients about the support services they offer and to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of gender specific cancers. The cancer awareness talks covered breast, cervical, ovarian, prostrate, testicular, bowel and skin cancers. Lifestyle factors which may affect the development of cancer including smoking, diet, physical activity and alcohol were also covered in both sessions.

Over the coming weeks we have a range of workshops and information sessions scheduled for our Network Shed, these include:

  • Personal development
  • Weight management
  • Crafts and art
  • Woodwork
  • Nutrition and cookery demonstrations
  • Construction Skills (CSR)
  • Alternative therapies
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • and much more

If you are aged 18+, unemployed or working less than 16 house per week and interesting in finding out more about what we have on offer at the Network Shed contact Niamh on 028 7963 1032 or via email niamh.jones@networkpersonnel.org.uk.
