Celebrating the success of our employability programmes
We held a special celebration event to mark the achievements of 271 unemployed people who have found work through the Up for Work, Jobmatch and Community Family Support initiatives, as well as 1,398 qualifications which have been achieved by participants on the programmes.
Our Up for Work, Jobmatch and Community Family Support Programmes, which are part funded by the European Social Fund and the Department for the Economy, Mid Ulster District Council, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, Antrim and Newtownabbey Council and Fermanagh and Omagh Council, offer a range of employability support not just to those who are seeking employment, but also their families. We deliver the programmes in five Council areas across Northern Ireland.
Cathy McGarvey, Network Personnel, advises
“This event marks the achievement of all those involved in our Up for Work, Jobmatch and Community Family Support Programmes; the participants, businesses and community organisations. The success of the programmes has been down to the combined commitment of all involved.
To be able to offer support to unemployed people and their families and to give them the opportunity to gain new skills and qualifications in order to find work is extremely important and something we at Network Personnel are very passionate about.
We would like to thank all our partners, local businesses, community groups, and especially our funders namely the European Social Fund and Department for the Economy; Mid Ulster District Council, Mid and East Antrim Borough Council; Antrim and Newtownabbey Council and Fermanagh and Omagh Council.”
The celebration event was held in Seamus Heaney HomePlace in Bellaghy.
